What connects them is simple: dogs deserve more than a way out. They deserve a real opportunity to succeed once they're out.

  • Georges Allard

    FOUNDER + PRESIDENT

    Georges is a retired Verizon employee and longtime animal lover. He and his wife, Sharon, bred British Cream Golden Retrievers and later co-owned a large dog daycare and grooming business for 10 years, where Georges kept the facility and grounds running.

    In retirement, Georges envisioned finding enough land for their 10 dogs, five goats — and something bigger: a place where dogs in need could get another chance. That vision helped lead them to Ridgeland, South Carolina, and ultimately to Shaduba.

  • Sharon Allard

    MANAGING DIRECTOR

    Sharon is the Director of Shaduba, bringing a corporate background, business experience and years of involvement in animal rescue to her role. Her rescue work has included volunteering with Hilton Head Humane, Palmetto Animal League and Jasper Animal Rescue Mission.

    That experience deepened her commitment to dogs leaving overcrowded shelters and the need to prepare them for what comes next. For Sharon, Shaduba is the realization of a long-held dream: giving more dogs the time, care and opportunity to find their way home.

  • Steve Goodyear

    SECRETARY

    Steve is a retired global marketer who brings both professional experience and a genuine commitment to animal rescue to Shaduba.

    His rescue work has included serving on the boards of Top Dog Foundation in Minneapolis and Jasper Animal Rescue Mission, as well as volunteering with The Humane Society, The Bond Between, Hilton Head Humane, Palmetto Animal League and Beaufort County Animal Services.

    Steve and his wife, Jane, have also fostered several dogs — including Captain and Sally, who found their forever homes, and Kobe and Madison, who found theirs without having to go very far.

    Today, Steve and Jane live in Bluffton with their dogs Zoey, Ella and Madison, and continue to foster dogs and help connect them with families of their own.

    TREASURER

    Extensive nonprofit office experience. Loves dogs. Knows her way around the numbers.

About Shaduba

MISSION

Shaduba provides a safe place for dogs where personalized training and meaningful socialization help bridge the gap between rescued and ready for a forever home.

VISION

That mission starts by keeping our focus intentionally small. Shaduba will begin with just six kennels, allowing us to prioritize the individual needs of every dog in our care.

Together with a strong network of qualified foster homes, this model gives each dog the benefit of daily one-on-one attention, foundational training and regular socialization. Fostering also gives dogs valuable experience in a home environment while opening space at Shaduba for another dog in need.

The goal is simple: better-prepared dogs, stronger matches and more successful adoptions.

LOCATION

And we have the space to make it happen.

Shaduba sits on five acres in Ridgeland, South Carolina, including two fully fenced acres where dogs have room to exercise, interact and simply be dogs. We primarily serve dogs and communities throughout Jasper and Beaufort counties.
